Located just minutes from the Texas Medical Center, the Carol and Odis Peavy School of Nursing offers students a great education and proximity to innovative medical facilities. A four-year program, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) incorporates USTs core curriculum, specific pre-nursing courses and courses in the nursing major. The curriculum focuses on patient-centered nursing using a newly developed curriculum based on a construct of healing and holistic care. This major prepares students for initial RN licensure and entry into the workforce.
Students must first be accepted to the University in order to be eligible for admission to the nursing program. Students will apply for admission to the nursing major offered during the junior and senior years.
